  • Originality or uniqueness of project
  • Contribution research project would make to general body of knowledge on environmental sustainability/Green Plan issues
  • Involvement of other provincial stakeholders as expressed by their support and co-operation
  • Broader impact of the project, i.e. to spread results of project to new areas in province
  • Long term potential impact of the project beyond life of project
  • Visibility/public information opportunities for awareness, demonstration and technology transfer of environmental sustainability/Green Plan issues
  • Positive benefits of project to agri-food sector
  • Positive benefits of project to society in general
  • Commitment of proponents, i.e. partnership/stakeholder funding
  • Past History of proponents in organizing and undertaking similar projects
  • Cost of project related to results
  • Consistency of project with the objectives of LMAP and Green Plan
  • Likelihood of project's success
  • Geographic location of project
  • Organization and control
  • Appropriateness of budget
